EDU 359 - Assessment of and for Learning

This course will contribute to an understanding of why we assess, how to appropriately assess students, creating authentic assessments, types of assessments, how to analyze assessment data, and using assessment information to drive instructional decision making. Students will gain understanding as to how assessments fit into a lesson plan and overall unit plan. Students will also explore instructional technology and its use in assessing students and collecting data. Students will also discuss how assessments are used by teachers, administrators, and school divisions make educational decisions. 3 Credit(s).
