PSY 328 - Health PsychologyCredit Hour(s): 3 This course is designed to examine the interaction between psychological factors and physical health. The student will examine the role of behaviors that impact physical health (e.g., smoking, alcohol consumption, diet, and exercise); the role of psychological factors on physiology (e.g., changes in immune function) and physical illness (e.g., heart disease, stroke, and ulcers); and the role of psychology in the treatment of a variety of diseases (e.g., heart disease, cancer, and arthritis). 3 Credit(s).
