NUR 450 - Adult Nursing IICredit Hour(s): 4 This course will focus on the advanced concepts of nursing practice related to the care of adults of all ages related to acute and chronic health conditions and complex care needs. Skills and knowledge will be combined to assist patients to meet their needs through promotion, restoration, and maintenance of health. Concepts of preserving dignity and maintaining confidentiality will be reinforced. Skills to assess for abuse and neglect will continue to be threaded through practice. The role of nurse as advocate and teacher will be incorporated into practice. The role of nurse as leader and manager are introduced and practiced. 4 Credit(s).
